Currently, esthetic restoration in dentistry has made considerable progress and it is widely advertised. Therefore, for most patients, the esthetics become the most important criterion when evaluating the quality of dental treatment. However, it is necessary to admit that enjoyment of beautifully restored teeth is unlikely if they are soon to cause pain.
Poor filling of canals ultimately leads to inflammatory diseases in the oral cavity and the early loss of the teeth. Because of the special importance of proper filling of canals, this area of study is set out as a separate area called endodontics. As shown by X-ray examinations, 75 pct of tooth loss after the treatment is associated with an incomplete, or even missing filling of canals.
